Canoeing on the Beautiful Strangford Lough followed by Tea and Cake
Enjoy the beauty of Strangford Lough from your own canoe and relax in the serenity of your surroundings before a food tour like no other, tucking into tasty treats in a magnificent traditional Irish thatched cottage.
You’ll meet at Tracey’s Farmhouse Kitchen {where you can park} which is situated 10 steps from the shoreline of beautiful Strangford Lough. John from Mobile Team Adventure will meet you there and you’ll walk down to the water’s edge where your Canoes will be waiting for you.
John will take you out in your canoes and you’ll connect with the beautiful Lough. You’ll paddle around the little Islands on the Lough and John will tell you all about your surroundings as you paddle. This is a wellness experience!
You’ll have worked up an appetite and Tracey will be at the Shoreline upon your return. She will welcome you to her home and a roaring fire will be a welcome treat! If you do get wet, you can change into dry clothes in comfort.
Sitting in the warmth of the cottage kitchen you will be treated to a demonstration of soda bread making. The table will be laden with Soda and wheaten bread with Tracey’s homemade jams and handmade award winning butter and of course cake! Bring an appetite! As you enjoy the delights on the table, Tracey will bake soda bread on the griddle. Get involved or sit back and get some tips. You will even get to take home some soda bread to remember a fantastic afternoon.

All equipment is provided; individuals will need to wear warm comfortable clothing, and suitable footwear that may get wet. Bring a change of clothes with you, just in case. A windproof jacket is recommended, as it can get very windy and cold on the water. We do not recommend wetsuits as they can be restrictive, unless you plan on lots of swimming!
