Using two canoes joined together with planks and bungees we make a stable ‘catamaran’ style craft. Each Pyranha Venture Canoe is 17-foot-long and 3 feet wide which is great for all ages. kids; from the very young Beaver Scout or Primary School child, up to a Venture Scout or Sixth Former.
You’ll love to play fun games, especially if you’re competitive; head-to-head races and challenges with the other crafts which will encourage team work.
Two canoes joined together are a great tool to introduce canoeing as a safe team activity. It really is a team effort and no individual is left on their own whilst learning the basic skills of canoeing.

Being rafted, canoes are great for encouraging nervous youth to participate in water sports, they can be used for skills training or just watching wildlife or even completing a river clean as a youth group project or school activity day up on any waterway within Northern Ireland.
Allowing peers to paddle together, teams of 8-12 kids can be within one craft at the same time.
Rafted canoeing is great fun, enjoyed by both youth and leaders and teachers of all ages, we’ve even had School Head Masters and older group Scout Leaders love the experience.
Buoyancy aids and helmets are supplied and must be worn at all times.
We recommend that individuals wear warm comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for the weather conditions that may get wet. We will provide gazebos as changing rooms if required. We do not supply wetsuits unless requested.
For those with special needs or assistance we can accommodate you, this is an excellent craft for all, the hardest bit is usually who wants to sit where!
Depending upon the type of event we would forward our Health & Safety Medical Forms in advance to be completed by individuals.
For those under 16 years old a parental/guardian will need to read and sign a Health & Safety Medical disclaimer.
Rafted canoes are accompanied by engaging, qualified members of staff that will manage the safety of the group.
For more information feel free to contact us to discuss your needs.
For any event we would recommend a minimum of at least one hour, however depending upon your type of event we can combine with other activities so sessions or activity zones can last from 20 minutes to an hour or two.
We will work to meet your budget and needs.
Rafted canoes are sometimes used as part of taster sessions, and canoeing and kayaking courses for young people.
Whatever youth event you are planning, we will complete a dynamic risk assessment to ensure your event is organised and planned safely. Mobile Team Adventure staff usually arrive one hour early to set up your event.
Yes, depending upon your type of event and location.
As you would be working with young people, your school, youth group or Scout group would need to provide Mobile Team Adventure with a copy of your own activity insurance and qualifications, Risk Assessments etc. Alternatively, we can provide qualified, experienced staff to look after you.
We are happy to discuss this with you, just give us a call, we will consider the following:
What stretch of water are you thinking of canoeing? The time of year? Is the lake or waterway exposed to the weather, especially windy conditions? Are there fast flowing currents? Finally, can we access the water legally and easily enough with a trailer?
Depending upon the type of event, we have enough canoes and buoyancy aids, helmets to have approximately 80 people on the water in Rafted Canoes at the same time.
We'd love to hear from you.
