Doggy Paddles at Shaw's Bridge

Go canoeing with your four-legged friend! Doggy Paddle experiences at Shaw’s Bridge, Belfast will be taking place on the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of the month (see dates below).   The first session in 2024 will be in March or April depending upon the weather conditions, starting at 9.30am. Come and join us and Ed our dog for this dog-friendly activity on the River Lagan!

Dogs just love to be with their owners, so why not try a new adventure.  Ed is a rescue dog from the Dog‘s Trust and loves to explore new things, he loves ‘EDventures’

P.S. you don’t have to bring a dog to be allowed to join in, and you don’t need any experience; suitable for beginners and families.

Shaw’s Bridge 9.30am – 11am, cost from £25pp, dogs go free March 10 / April 14 / May 19 / Aug 11 / Sept 8

This session is instructor-led and equipment is provided – boats, paddles, and buoyancy aids (for human participants!)

This is a very dog friendly activity! We will provide all the equipment required: boat, buoyancy aid and paddle. All you need to do is turn up in warm comfortable clothing with an old pair of trainers and a light waterproof jacket, bring a change of clothes and footwear in case you get wet. You do not need a wetsuit canoeing, the plan is to stay in the boat. Please note, parental/medical consent is required. To save time at the start of the session feel free to download our Health & Safety Registration Form and bring it along to the session.
